The children at CC's Daycare on Belleview Ave in Middleton, made cards and handed them out to the Veteran's on Veteran's Day. We loved them and want to thank the children and show off some of their cards. The kids are infant to 7 years of age and some of their teachers helped a little with the writing.
Troop 19 Brings Home Honors
Middleton Boy Scout Troop 19 recently participated in the annual American Legion Father's Day camporee, held at Camp Collier in Gardner, MA. The camporee participants are Legion sponsored Boy Scout Troop/Packs from across the state. Along with the opportunity to camp out under the stars, the weekend consists of competitions among the participants. Troop 19 returned from the weekend with a total of 14 awards, including the coverted "Everett Texieria Award" for troop excellence. This award is presented to the Troop/Pack that most typifies the Boy Scout unit that Everett Texieria, a Legionnaire and one of the originators of the camporee, would have liked to camp with. This annual award is based on overall performance, team spirit, cooperation, participation, motivation, and perseverance.
